Subject: "a fairyland of unearthly colors, packed with meaning for the knowing observer"

This little film focuses on 3 people: a fisherman, a kayaker, and a grandfather.
Each has their own run-in with pollution of some sort, and the narration leads you to believe there would be some terrible accident which some barely survive. Well, actually...
The fisherman catches a poisoned fish, and is told to leave it by a police boat with a megaphone.
The kayaker travels down the Potomac (!) and avoids hepatitis (!) by NOT capsizing.
The grandfather drives home through a pollution induced snowstorm.
Kind of underwhelming. The bit about LANDSAT is interesting, but the title sequence is... odd. Not to mention the very ugly font used for the title itself.

Nasa and pollution are two things you wouldnt normally associate with one another (well maybe you can). But here's NASA, sponsoring this film about how pollution affects 3 ordinary people on a typical day.
After an amazing opening, with a great soundtrack, we meet a kayaker, a fisherman and joe everyman, all of which will have contact with pollution, so they say.. This film is somewhat of a cheat actually because, aside from the fisherman, all of them do their routine normally, with the narrator going on about how dangerous everything is, with no real climax.
Some interesting music (especially at the beginning) and some cool aerial shots, but the rest is somewhat dissapointing, given the buildup it got.
